This might begin to sound a bit over assertive, but I HAVE REQUESTED THIS INFO SEVERAL TIMES NOW. PLEASE HAND THE EMAIL LIST TO ME if you have the list and can't be bothered to set up a next meeting or to inform folks about it! That is just rude and incompetent, and, in the face of the demise of all Earthlife, also highly irresponsible.

A turnout of about 20 individuals! That was heartening. The talk was good. There was no time for questions at the end, sadly, but we left our details. Best of all, being the cheeky activist that I have become, I gave out the last of my 'call to action' leaflets to 'Make Earth Safe'............. Hmmm......trouble is, according to highly acclaimed scientists of great integrity, we probably have now no chance of making earth safe. ('aerosol effect', or 'global dimming' - if fossil fuel industry stops, or even slows down, the world will overheat in a matter of weeks. SO!......now there is more emphasis on how we look after ourselves in these end of times. Guy McPherson suggests we have an attitude of love and compassion in a 'Planetary Hospice'. I like that. Now I am trusting that Karen, and the two friends she mentioned as having been instrumental in setting up this first meeting (well done), will be contacting us all with some way of meeting up again.

Please give info here of the date for the inaugural XR meeting in Gillingham. I hear it will be in the St Mary's church Hall.

Hello! Hooray, because I have a lift arranged to and fro the meeting tonight! And please, because PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow me to share about one of 3 subjects! 1. How 'STANDING LOCAL ACTIVISM' is ESSENTIAL to RAISE AWARENESS and ENERGIES for a cause like THE LOOMING END OF THE WORLD'! ( I HAVE A 'DREAM' about this!) 2. The need to ALTER OUR FEARFUL VIEW of DEATH, in line with the philosophy and science of 'TOTAL INTERCONNECTION. (The subject of an essay and a booklet of mine).! 3. 'DEBT STRIKE' on 5th November?! (I shared the YOU TUBE videos about this to Extinction Shaftesbury FB page.) Hey, you have to agree, eh, that these are highly pertinent subjects! Look, I am naturally and definitely not a 'pushy' person, but on these subjects it gets different. However, a big group of folks I mostly do not know, is definitely intimidating, so PLEASE give me a chance to speak!

STRUCTURE of the group? - An agreement needed about manning of incoming enquiries from enthusiastic, interested parties like me. Delay or non-responsiveness in replies can lose potential new members who could contribute much to the cause. OTHER GROUPS/ LINKS - A group is needed in Gillingham. Anyone interested? PURPOSE OF MONTHLY MEETINGS - 1. SHARE info/inspirations, etc with many people. 2. NETWORKING - though this is performed largely online it seems. 3. SENSE of belonging, direction, purpose, success, etc. WHAT WE WANT TO OFFER/RECEIVE 1. TALENTS/KNOWLEDGE/INSIGHTS to offer. a. MYSELF - I want to share regarding the potential of 'stand local activism', to RAISE ENERGIES and get some serious activity galvanised.! b. Also ME - I want to share my philosophy about DEATH, DYING and SUFFERING, which, I think we all must agree, is pertinent in the circumstances! 2. Receival of encouragement, recognition, 'comradeship', etc. The FUTURE of the group? - 1. Form 'inner circles/smaller groups for getting to know folks better? 2. Establish a culture that refuses the p.c. fears and old-school means of 'social control'. 3. Dedication to EVOLVING from 'survival of the fittest' stone-age mentality, into a lifestyle of co-operation and compassion. EXPECT TO HAVE LESS and BE CONTENT WITH THAT. a. Travel less by motors, especially by plane. Keep it minimal. b. No Animal exploitation ( for food, sport, research, zoos, etc. c. Consume sustainably. Repair, care, recycle, etc. d. Use carts, bike buggies, etc for carrying loads ourselves. People power literally! e. Well-being - STOP fearing death. No need - due to total interconnection. ( let me do my little talk about this?) f. RESPONSIBILITY and community - the base for new politics.( This is another subject I would like to share at more length than here. WELL!......Now you can't say you weren't warned! (smile).

This form of activism gets RESULTS! So how come I see nobody out there raising awareness on their own streets, all times of day, all over the place, so it becomes such an obviously popular message that the 'tipping point gets reached? I have thrice offered to talk to the group about this strategy. What a complete wasted opportunity that this group seems to be unwilling or unable to take up the offer. I am coming to the conclusion that it makes more sense to remain an Extinctionist when I find myself in a world full of even apparently educated and aware folks DRAGGING THEIR HEALS when they should all be OUT THERE EVERYDAY BEING SEEN AND COUNTED for their cause!

I wish to share with Planet Shaftesbury, more than is possible on this forum, how the 'STANDING LOCAL ACTIVISM' that I have initiated in Gillingham, so far for Animal Liberation, has great potential for Extinction Rebellion. I can offer to do a little talk/display about this, which I would plan to be even a little bit entertaining! Those of you who have seen me on this activism, as The Vegan Highwaylady, may be interested to know something of how it really works and why I do what I do, etc! Those who have not experienced this strange phenomenon, have missed a treat! I definitely would like to offer this at the next meeting in May. Go on, Invite me! What have we all got to lose?! oh.......wait......yeah, the planet.

This video is a 'must watch' for all who are seriously looking at what to do about this broken world. Even if you don't agree, it puts the local actions into insignificance.

Thanks for the invite to be included in the photo shoot. Unfortunately, this event was inaccessible, down the cobbled Gold Hill, for myself. Also, thanks for the invite to join in the 'drinks' afterward. I had a pre-arranged lift with my friend, however, which meant I could not attend. I would like to find a more two-way communication going on with myself from this group, so that these kinds of limitations do not occur.

For all the hype about 'Youth March' to happen today, 12th April, there is no evidence anywhere on line, that I can find, of this actually happening today! Whether I go out to support the extinction rebellion youth today, therefore, is in doubt. I have had about enough of fighting solo for what is right here in Gillingham, Dorset. It leaves me being even more convinced that the human race is definitely not worth saving, all over again. Sad.

Watch Roger's latest You Tube talk on the strategy used by Extinction Rebellion. Excellent explanation and inspiration.

I will be doing 'standing local activism' to support the youth, even if they are not bothering to stand up for their future in Gillingham. 1.30-2.30 B3092, all being well!

I will be out on 'Standing Local' activism, still primarily for the animals, but also to raise awareness of Extinction Rebellion ( and Planet Shaftesbury, but need a new placard). Also have sent off 'Letters to the Earth' as requested by XR 'Culture Declares Emergency' initiative, to be shared as is thought fit. Lastly, I have sent several pieces of my work, for the animals and for Mother Earth, as 'story contributions' to the XR newsletter, again for use as thought fit. On Saturday 30th March I have planned to give out my leaflets titled 'A Call to Action for Animals and Survival', in Shaftesbury, outside the town hall. I trust that this will all be deemed sufficiently active for the cause of ensuring a sustainable, survivable, civilised future for all sentient beings, humans included!

Friday 15th March, TOMORROW, is Extinction Rebellion's YOUTH STRIKE WORLDWIDE! So....WHY NO APPARENT INTEREST shown in this here?!

I would like to know if there are local schools striking in Dorset? I plan to do 'standing local activism' on 14th, 15th, and could support the action with placards.
