"Shaftesbury Civic Society is holding its annual Civic Day and AGM on Wednesday 12th June and we would like to invite Planet Shaftesbury to be part of this event.

In many ways the Civic Society and yourselves share similar aims and values and it would seem appropriate for our members to learn more about your work and aspirations for Shaftesbury at a local level. To that end we should like to invite you to put forward a speaker to talk to us, for about half an hour, after our very short AGM. The schedule would be for you to speak at about 1.15 pm. 

In addition, during the morning, in the Town Hall, we would be delighted if you wished to provide a stand for our Civic Day, which is aimed at celebrating pride in our special town and celebrating the diversity of organisations that this community supports. Setting up time would be from 09.00-10.00 with doors open to the public from 10.00 until 1pm. Tables and chairs will be provided. We are very keen to stress the local aspects of your work and its relevance to our daily lives here in Shaftesbury. 

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to take part and provide a speaker, to enable us to include you in the publicity. "
