About the Event
Environmental Sustainability Workshops
Skills & Learning Adult Community Education are delighted to announce that funding has been secured through the Local Skills Improvement Fund for educationalists and employees, in the Dorset area, to attend a fully funded online Environmental Sustainability Workshop. The aim of this workshop is to ignite an interest in environmental protection and to encourage you to be a driving force behind making your workplace and home life more environmentally sustainable. The two main environmental issues that will be covered include:
- Global warming
- Biodiversity loss
The workshop will look at the idea of carbon footprint and include advice about how to do an individual calculation, as well as comparing and contrasting different countries. There will be discussion about solutions and government solutions and lots of practical help around how to live in an environmentally friendly way. All workshops will run between 9.30 a.m. to 1.30p.m.
