About the Event
Two Tree Walks:
11am Saturday 25th September (90 minutes)
2pm Sunday 26th September (60 minutes - returning to Castle Hill Green in time for the Tree Festival closing picnic tea)
Both starting at Shaftesbury Town Hall and led by Robin Walter.
Robin is a writer, forester, arborist, environmental campaigner and musician well known in Shaftesbury. He worked as a woodland officer for the Woodland Trust for many years and contributed to Arboreal, Little Toller’s 2016 anthology of woodland writing. His book 'Living with Trees' has been described as a guide on how we can best live with and value our trees, from individual specimens to vast forests, as well as celebrating the many people and organisations working to make a positive difference. Join one or both of these walks and share his insights to our local trees.
There is a Tree Festival Project page with a growing list of other events and a photographic exhibition. Follow this link.
The festival is part of Great Big Green Week organised by The Climate Coalition.
