About the Event
The Healing Power of Trees
The Native American Medicine walk was nature's way of providing healing and bringing back serenity and stability. The perfect way for four burnt-out members of staff from the local health centre to use their staff support session and shake off the stresses and strains of work.
Watched over by the Mother Tree of Piddles Wood receptionist Kirsty, practice nurse Ruby, practice counsellor Gareth and GP Mark follow the instruction to walk into the trees where they will find whatever it is they need to heal.
Away from the overwhelming pressures of the NHS each of them has the opportunity to confront their personal demons and find the peace and harmony they need to carry on working together. Will Piddles Wood and the Mother Tree work their magic?
Thank you to Sturminster Newton storyteller Taprisha for sharing information about this play which has come out of the Sturminster Newton Queens Green Canopy Project Group (part of the Open Spaces Group).
