Wednesday 10 May at 7.30pm
We have some of the oldest housing stock in Europe, and around 20% of our total carbon footprint is due to domestic heating. How can we reduce this and still keep our homes cosy.
Retrofit means improving an existing building in such a way as to greatly increase its energy efficiency and reduce its carbon-emissions. This could include repairs, better insulation and ventilation, and new low-carbon heating systems.
In this online meeting we will look at the problems of insulating and heating older homes, including listed buildings, and also more recent buildings with cavity walls.
Jennifer Morisetti: Qualified Retrofit consultant, DCAN trustee and climate campaigner
Jason Hawke: Energy Officer for ** **Magna Housing Association; Chairman of a regional Future Construction Skills group
We have other participants who are ready to share their experience of retrofitting a range of homes.
There will be an opportunity for participants to contribute and to ask questions of our panel. Everyone is welcome to come along! Don’t forget to register using the button above before the event.
