Hello Everyone,
At last we are able to tell you about Shaftesbury’s first book festival, Reading the Land, which focusses on the future of the natural world and the land that sustains it.
We live in interesting times….  our relationship with nature and the land must take centre stage in our deliberations about the future. By inviting imaginative and knowledgeable writers to excite, expand and share their cultural knowledge, our hope is to stimulate positive ways of living with local nature and courage us to play our part in mitigating the effects of climate change.
We are delighted that our patron is Richard Mabey, acknowledged as Britain's best writer on nature, Â and we have an exciting line up of authors. We do hope you can find the time to come to some of the talks - see the website and ticket source.
