Planet Shaftesbury working meeting

A provisional date - 25th April - has been set for a hustings prior to the local government elections. The intention is to invite prospective councillors for both town and county. Our meeting tonight will consider the format and initiate necessary preparations.

The meeting will take place at 7.30pm in the snug (to left of the entrance) at The Grosvenor Arms. Open to all.

Note:  

Planet Shaftesbury previously hosted a climate emergency hustings prior to the general election in 2019. We used a 'question time' format with some questions submitted in advance and some from the floor. In contrast, this hustings will include many more candidates only some of whom will be standing as representatives of a political party, some of whom will not see themselves as 'politicians', and some of whom are putting themselves forward for the first time.
