Planet Shaftesbury Monthly Meeting

The meeting will offer the usual opportunities for first-timers and regulars to mingle with like-minded local people, to exchange information about events and hear updates from projects. Special topics coming up this month will include

• The 3-day pilgrimage to oppose oil drilling in Dorset. Do you want to join in for all or part of the walk? Or perhaps be part of a support group? Or just give the pilgrims a good send off on Friday 27th? 
• The town council's work to incorporate recognition of the climate emergency into their routine operations and strategic plans. Councillor Alex Chase and Town Clerk Clare Commons will be joining us for the evening. How can we engage with them?
• The involvement of Extinction Rebellion activists from the South West in London-based actions during October. Do you want to participate?
