Homes open across Dorset to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy in the home, wildlife gardening, sustainable living. Event runs over two weekends and in our area there's a wide range of different premises to visit and enthusiastic hosts to meet.

About the Event
Keen to save energy and money? Or just keen to be green and wondering what you could do? In 2023 Shaftesbury is again celebrating the adaptations some people have made to their homes or life-styles by joining in with this county-wide event organised by the Dorset Climate Action Network (Dorset CAN). Around 50 homes participated in 2021 & 2022 - including several in the Shaftesbury area.
There are local properties open in 2023 in Gillingham, Stour Provost and Marnhull as well as Shaftesbury. There is a website with details of what you'll be able to see and when you're invited to visit. See details of all open homes at https://www.dorsetcan.org/greener_homes/
This event is organised by the Dorset Climate Action Network (D-CAN) and sponsored by Dorset Community Energy. Participation across Shaftesbury and North Dorset is being coordinated by Planet Shaftesbury in collaboration with Shaftesbury Town Council and by Jenny Morisetti (of Hawkers Farm, Sustainable Dorset, and D-CAN)
