How do we talk about making lifestyle shifts?

Many of us find it difficult to talk with friends and family about why we’re making sustainable changes in our lives. Could we approach it better? Join in this conversation with Take the Jump - a grassroots movement promoting 6 lifestyle shifts. How do they go about it? Open to all.

About the Event

Our July meeting follows after June's Great Big Green Week featuring multiple local events that celebrated community activity in the face of challenges to climate & nature. Did that lead to conversations about local activities and our own lifestyle changes? Did we engage more people? This meeting is an opportunity for us to review how the week went and how effective (or comfortable) we may be in communicating with those we encounter as we go about our daily lives.

For part of our meeting we'll be joined (through an online link) by Magsy and Tom from Take the Jump, an organisation that promotes 'six lifestyle shifts to protect our Earth and live with joy' through conversations that aim to be not preachy but fun and empowering. They'll be able to tell us how they got on at Glastonbury this year.

You can see more about the organisation, the six shifts, and other help available here https://takethejump.org/

Our meeting will also provide opportunities to share news about local activities and projects.
