Hawkers Re-creatives: drop-in session

Join us every Thursday at Hawkers Re-Creatives drop-in sessions from 10 am to 12:30pm in The Barn. Immerse yourself in the fashion revolution alongside like-minded individuals as you learn valuable mending, up-cycling, and sewing skills.

The Barn is the home of Hawkers Re-Creatives, a hub for Sustainable Fashion and much more.  Join our drop-in stitching group on Thursdays, learn how to; mend, make a skirt, up-cycle a garment or embroider or just enjoy the company of like minded people.

More about Hawkers Farm:

The farm adjoins Duncliffe Wood (Woodland Trust) and is 4 miles from Gillingham and Shaftesbury. New copses are growing, the orchard has been restored and hedgerows planted. The farmhouse, garden and outbuildings have been brought back to life by using traditional and renewable materials and ensuring that the 500 year old building would be as energy efficient as possible.  The old milking parlour has been converted into an event barn which is the home of Hawkers Re-Creatives and Wear Me Out - special occasion outfits and hats to borrow, as well as Second to None - a collection of natural fibre second hand clothes for sale and mending and redesigning workshops.

Evening Parties at Hawkers Farm

We're thrilled to offer evening parties tailored for groups of up to 30 guests, where the focus is on unleashing your creative potential while enjoying a memorable time with friends or colleagues. Our unique evenings can include:  Taster Mending and Embellishing Sessions Dive into the world of up-cycling and learn how to mend and embellish your clothing, giving them new life and style.

Clothes Swapping Refresh your wardrobe sustainably by participating in our clothes swapping activity. One person's pre-loved treasure could be your new favorite outfit!  Wear Me Out Clothing Library  Explore our eclectic Wear Me Out clothing library and experiment with unique outfits, allowing you to express your personal style in new and exciting ways.
