Chris Smaje published 'Finding Lights in a Dark Age - sharing land, work and craft' late in 2025. On 2nd February 2026 he'll be in Shaftesbury to talk about his work, and the implications for a rural area like ours. We're aiming for the session to be a locally-focused discussion of what our community could do at this time in response to the challenges we might face in a 'dark' future. Chris is keen on this approach - his book launch session in Frome had a similar aim.
FOLDE, our local book store, is supporting the event with a range of books for sale featuring the future of food, farming and community.
