About the Event
Defashion Dorset is returning for its fourth year to Hawkers Farm, Stour Provost. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate local fibre growers and makers and a local clothing culture. They say ...
We buy locally grown food to support farmers so why don’t we consider buying locally grown clothing? According to Climate Words “To ‘Defashion’ is to combat the fashion industry’s role in the climate crisis and transition to regenerative and fair clothing systems.”
The 2026 programme is still in preparation. Hawkers Farm is host to regular sessions: Laura Tyley hosts a textile/ wool group on the first and third Tuesday every month 6-8pm and the drop in sewing/ textile repair cafe is on Thursday mornings 10-12.30.
