I worked for 20 years in the IT industry mostly in Software Services, building my own business until I sold in 2014 and embarked on my second career. I am now a musician and recording engineer. I run Sylvafield Studios but still keep my hand in with IT as a Non-Executive Director of a small growing SaaS business.

In 2018 I was involved in a fundraising appeal to save Semley woods which was a huge success. We raised funds for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to buy and save 100 acres of ancient woodland. This project was a catalyst for me, it opened my eyes to conservation in a new way and helped me realise that you really can make a difference as an individual.

Soon afterwards, I was invited to come to the first XR meeting in Shaftesbury by some good friends and it changed my outlook. I'm not the demonstrating activist type, but I have a great deal of skills and experience which I am happy to offer for free to assist this cause.

I now work closely with the Planet Shaftesbury Website and Digital Communications team to shape the digital resources we have to stimulate and assist in environmental causes.
