I have several books and periodicals that I'm no longer using and don't have space for. Could give them away or put them where they can be borrowed. Requests or ideas invited! Includes:
The Whole House Book by Cindy Harris & Pat Borer (CAT, 1998)
The Green Building bible Vols 1&2 (4th edition, 2008)
Recent (from Jan/Feb 2018) back issues of Resurgence & Ecologist
Transition books: Local Food (2009); Local Money (2010); Communities, Councils & a Low-Carbon Future (2010)
and more ...
how about a 'bring to swap or share' facilitation at whatever meetings happen?
Like the concept. Sharing tools, equipment, and more is working in some places (for example see sharefrome.org) though it depends on having space to store the items and the process of setting the operation up would need some dedication. Having a library that we can borrow from at meetings would require less storage but would need a volunteer to bring the items along: I wonder if the effort might be hard to justify given the extent of information available online?
@Rachel Bodle well, I guess I was just thinking smaller than that - just if anyone has the odd book or magazine to give away or swap or share, they could just bring it to a meeting, put it on a table for folks to choose from.
