‘Fragments of a Rebellion’ is an hour long film documenting the strength, resilience and beauty of XR during the October Rebellion. The film, made by a rebel based in the South West, is a street level view of a rebellion which saw over eighteen hundred arrests of peaceful protesters. This unprecedented display of people power provoked a heavy police response and a bewildering lack of media coverage. Each “fragment” highlights an outpouring of creativity, determination and solidarity in the face of the climate emergency and relentless pressure from the authorities.
