Call out for Our Members to attend a General Meeting

Dorset CAN’s Action Team is recommending that we apply to set up the organisation as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). This means that, as a registered charity, we would be eligible for more grants and fundraising and have a more robust governance structure.

In line with our current constitution (as an unincorporated association) we are calling a General Meeting of the members to wind up the existing organisation and decide to apply to the Charity Commission to be registered as a CIO. All members are encouraged to attend our remote General Meeting at 6pm on Wednesday December 14th. The meeting will not take more than 45 minutes and we need a quorum of 20 to attend so please come along for this important step forward in our development.
